We are always looking for kind, patient, and understanding volunteers who have a passion for helping tweens and teens. Our awesome campers, ages 12-15, currently are, or have been, in foster care. Those teens that have been there before are spreading the word about how much fun they had, and they can't wait to get back. They look forward to 3 fun-filled days at camp with adults who genuinely care for and value them.
TRAC is two 3-day separate gender, faith-based camps. Because of the behaviorial issues that come out of being abused and abandoned, we hold to a strict ratio of 1 counselor to 2 campers. The more counselors we can get, the more kids we can take to camp. Besides counselors, there are several very important staff roles that need to be filled as well (listed below.)
We hope you will find it in your heart to commit to joining us to create a camping experience these special kids won't soon forget.
Every TRAC staff member must:
be at least 20 years of age
be aligned with our values and philosophies
completely fill out and submit application form
completely fill out and submit background check request
submit $25 application fee
attend mandatory training
8 hours 1st year, 4 hours 2nd year and beyond
Once your application is submitted, you will receive an email invitation to fill out your background check with Sterling Volunteers.
